17 die in suicide attacks at Swat police check posts

SWAT: At least 17 people have been killed and more than 20 wounded in suicide attacks at police check posts in Swat.

According to sources, a suicide attacker hit a police check post in Charbagh area of Swat killing 16 people whereas two other check posts blown up with explosives.

Tahreek Taliban has claimed the responsibility of the attack. Spokesman of Tahreek Taliban Muslim Khan said that as long as army would stay in Swat, destruction would continue across the country.

Meanwhile, security forces have cordoned off the area and started operation. Another blast occurred near a police check post in Bari Kot area. One person has been killed and three children wounded in the blast.
